Peter`s Family Restaurant in Port Charlotte

It reminded me of a place so comfy like when I was younger, the smell of coffe and breakfast. Everyone was friendly. Get there early, before 9:30 am on Sunday. I parked in the back because it was full out front. I didn't know they have a breakfast buffet until I got there but I had eggs Benedict, country style, Delicious!

Great place! If you're a fan of Coney Island hot dogs you'll love it. I'm from Flint, MI and there Detroit style Coney is good. Not quite a Flint Coney but a great taste!

We had a party of 7, although they were very busy we were seated very quickly. Food was great, service excellent...only minor thing was coffee refills were slow but as stated they were very busy.

My sister and I decided to try breakfast here for the first time. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. The staff was keeping track of the number of guests and their placement for social distance purposes, and all servers were masked. The food was prices were cost effective and they definitelydid not skimp on portions. It was also incredibly tasty. I had corned beef hash and eggs and my sister had the benedict version of this meal. I also ordered blueberry pancakes to go for my hubby ( and they were completely loaded with fruit, and extremely fluffy. I'd definitely try this place again.

The food wasn't good. Crinkle cut fries and bread was stale and the dessert is only pudding that they can't make it to go and try to send you out hoping you forgot about it being part of your dinner or being full and can't get it to go. No one asked how it was. Only if you are ready to go.

Terrific menu selection with large portions and awesome prices. Very busy for lunch, but always worth it. Perfect place to enjoy a home style meal!

Ran into this cute place looking to grab a quick bite for lunch. I had the gyro and fries. Husband had hot beef and mashed potatoes. All came out quick, hot and delicious. Bonus this is owned by a veteran! Enjoy!

Great food and service and very clean! A bonus for Michigan customers as they serve Koegel hot dogs and coney dogs, that we have not found any where else in Florida. They also have a wide variety of choices on their menu.

First time here. Prices are great. Food was plentiful and good. Staff very attentive. All you can eat buffets for breakfast on Sundays $10 includes drink. Will go back

I didn't hate it. They just didn't offer enough different items on their buffet menu.the food they offered was tasty and fresh.

The fried chicken was good. My biscuit was a little tough. The chicken soup was homade. Unfortunately my order was delayed and I was the last served in our large group. This is probably an exception because this place was highly recommended. My wife had the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was delicious.

First time there a couple weeks ago, have been back three times, friendly staff. Cant beat the prices!! The food is great and the servings are huge! Love it, will continue to go now that I have found the best kept secret in Charlotte County!!

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast there with some friends this morning. They served ample servings and it was delicious! The service was very well done even though we had a rather large group. My hat's off to them for doing a fine job!

I hate to do this but I have to... The breakfast is worth going for but I was handed a menu with one price on it and no corrections and after I chose my dinner I was told it was $2 more than what the menu price said. The dinner just wasn't good enough to be worth that price...especially when we gave them the majority of our support through the shut down. Three times since the eat in has been allowed... the dinner was not up to par but we continue to try to support them... No more... it's too expensive...there are no more Baby Backs and the dinner just isn't that good anymore... It was better when it was take out ...I understand the pandemic caused a need for raising prices...Temporarily but you know...say a $1... Not $2 ... we have decided we might do breakfast... No more dinner. Too expensive for the Quality.I do want to add... The owner is very kind... Very friendly... Speaks to you as though you are a repeatable person...I Do like that!😁

Great little diner with the charm and hospitality of small town America. The restaurant was clean and the staff were warm, friendly, and very customer focused. This is a family restaurant and you can tell everyone had pride in their job. The food was hot and delicious, the portions were generous and satisfying, and the price was moderate and fairly inexpensive. I have not tried the buffet, but from what I saw it looked great. Sunday morning all-you-can-eat breakfast with a drink included for only $10. The best part of my experience was that we came in 20 minutes before close (unintentionally) yet we were welcomed in warmly like family. Thank you for a great meal and dining experience, we will definitely be back.

They offer a vast range of fresh food. I like eating here. The employees are always friendly, prices are affordable and the spot is always neat.

I don't know what people go crazy for this place. Food was greasy with no taste. I don't go places cuz my friends are there. I go to eat good food, and this wasn't my type of breakfast place at all!!!

Staff is very personable. They greet you with smiles. The food is delicious and plentiful. You can have fun in this very clean restaurant. The best thing about this restaurant is that it is owned by a Veteran.

Fruit, grits, sausage gravy, sliced potato casserole w/ or w/o cheese, scrambled eggs plain or with cheese, onions and green pepper pieces, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage or ham and biscuits. Coffee is included in the $10 deal all you can eat!!!

Peters restaurant is a great place especially if you like endless chicken. The place is designed with a very Michigan/ Detroit theme. The food and the wait staff here are great. The endless chicken bar also has a good selection of sides. The only downside I found was the size of the restaurant. I just wish it was a little bigger, other than that I would definitely suggest this place.
